UKIP to launch its East of England European Election campaign in Norwich (31.03.14)
26th March 2014
The UK Independence Party is holding the formal launch of its East of England European Election campaign at the Assembly House, Theatre Street, Norwich NR2 1RQ at 10.30am on Monday 31st March 2014.
Lead candidates, Patrick O’Flynn, UKIP’s Communications Director, Stuart Agnew, its MEP for the East of England and Tim Aker, the Party’s Head of Policy will be outlining their plans for the European Election campaign. They will be supported by the other candidates on the UKIP list, Michael Heaver, Michael McGough, Andy Monk and Mark Hughes. Also in attendance will be East of England Regional Chairman, George Konstantinidis and the Party Director, Lisa Duffy.
Speaking ahead of the meeting, Mr Konstantinidis said: “We will be outlining the key elements of our policy platform for the European Election as well as introducing the excellent line-up of candidates we have for the East of England, who offer both youth and experience. UKIP has strong support in this region. We had two MEPs elected last time and we hope to do even better this time. EU sceptic attitudes have hardened since 2009 and we are also much better known, as the only Party genuinely offering voters the option to leave the EU.”
